I feel that politicians should hold a hearing on HR 1279, the Direct Support Professionals Fairness and Security Act of 2007.  This bill will help professional caregivers, otherwise known as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) a much needed raise through Medicaid dollars.  Currently, DSPs make just shy of $20,000 per year on average.  We actually have more information about this at http://www.WhoWillCare.net.
