Ever since I was able to vote I have voted sometimes it was hard to know who to vote for so I would asks my parents who they where going to vote for. But since i have been apart of Special Olympics Indiana I live in Porter County and are county Sheriff is a very big supporter of Special Olympics and that is why I vote for him. and could be hard voting if it was raining out side because about three years ago I had a seizures first ever that sent to the emergency room and then had a smaller one two weeks later because of that he does not want me to drive anymore so that means i have to ride my bike to the place where we go to vote it could be hard if it was raining that day. This past time I voted it was hard because I thought i did not have a state i.d. card but one of the poll workers knew me and said it was okay. I always cause id we do not voter there will never be real change for people with disabilities.
We would like to know why you want to vote or not vote. Is there a law prohibiting you from voting such as a guardianship or mental incapacitation issue that says that you cannot vote? Is it a transportation issue of getting to the polls? What about using an absentee ballot--do you think this is a form of segregation and a way for the election officials to get around accomodating you?
Why will or why won't you vote?
